| Paddle the Bay Poker Run Crystal River Manatee Festival 2008 |
| Despite the rain, the run came off with nary a major hitch. My apologies to the first paddler who got a bum map. If you'll contact me at the shop, I'll make sure you get a free registration for the 2009 event. The first inaugural Paddle the Bay Manatee Festival Poker Run featured over $1000 dollars in prizes donated by local businesses. Thanks to all those folks as well as the volunteers working the card points and registration table. The best hand (flush) was dealt to Tom Foxley, a Canadian visitor whose chose the Red, White and Blue Tax prep package as his prize in what he said was a salute to Bill Dobbs. |

| Tommie Brown came in with the next best hand (a straight) after answering the bonus question correctly (the answer was the Steller's Sea Cow) and drawing her bonus card. Charlie (her husband pictured below) picked the Spa Gift Basket for her prize. |
